Evening meals although not booked we decided to have the evening meals as the location into town is a bit far to walk when you have not got a car with you.The food was not so good for a 4 star hotel

We used the hotel twice as a stop-over, once on our journey to Karnten, Austria, and three weeks later on the return which also coincided with the town's annual festival. An enjoyable experience!

Liked that the hotel was stunningly beautiful and had absolutely friendly and affable staff in all areas. The restaurant was good with good breakfast, I tried excellent dishes. The nice bathroom and the rest was fairly clean. The location was marvellous and comfy, because a bus stop was based nearby the venue. The property was set in a beautiful area.

I absolutely adored the charming decor of the Schmelmer Hof Hotel & Resort. The hotel's interior was beautifully designed, with traditional Bavarian elements that created a cozy and warm ambiance. It felt like stepping into a traditional German home. The common areas were well-maintained and immaculately clean. As a senior woman, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was for older guests. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my walking cane. The staff were also attentive and helpful, always ready to assist me whenever I needed assistance.

If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be for the staff to be more experienced and knowledgeable about catering to the needs of senior guests. While their assistance was appreciated, there were times when they seemed a bit unknowledgeable or inexperienced in dealing with certain requests or concerns.

Two things that I did not appreciate were the fact that the "heated" pool was not heated, and the Jacuzzi was cold. I complained and they told me it would be fixed the next day. (I was there on a public holiday so I can sort of understand this.) I chose the hotel because I wanted one with an indoor pool and a Jacuzzi, but when I got there I found out that neither could be used. When I checked out the next day they told me it had been repaired, only too late for me.

The Schmelmer is a great base for outings to the stunning Wendelstein and Kaisergebirge mountains. During my stay, I discovered that the hotel's spa area is simply amazing. It truly felt like a hidden oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I spent hours relaxing in the hot tub and indulging in the different saunas, feeling completely rejuvenated. The beauty salon was an added bonus, where I treated myself to a pampering session. The large variety of wellness amenities at the hotel made me feel like a celebrity preparing for a red carpet event.

Some areas of the hotel infrastructure could benefit from refurbishment.

We stayed at the Schmelmer Hof Hotel & Resort during our trip from Italy to Berlin. The hotel's location was convenient and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing, and Julio and the lady in the restaurant were exceptionally nice. The check-in process was easy, and the breakfast was delicious. The restaurant served fabulous meals, especially the 4-course dinners. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, just 10 minutes from the highway, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. The renovated rooms were tastefully decorated and provided enhanced comfort. We especially loved the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful meadow with sunbeds, where we could relax and enjoy the calm surroundings.

Let me inform you about a hotel stay that I was not happy with by no means. I booked a room in Schmelderhof Hotel in Bad Aibling through your website and took all the information you provided for granted. As I chose this 4* hotel (for €84 per night!) while doing my business trip round Germany, I expected a certain level of standards I am used to from other similar accomodation facilities. This so-called 4* hotel cannot be so highly recognised, judging not only by the old-fashioned furnishings they present to their customers but also by the services that are very unprofessional. This time, however, it was way below. After arrival I was told by the receptionist there is no internet connection whatsoever (even though your website stated there would be one, even in hotel rooms, for free). That was partly the reason I decided to choose this hotel. Another nuisance was that I booked a non-smoking room but after opening the door of my room, I was absolutely disgusted by the heavy smoked air. When I complained about this at the reception, I was told there is no other room I could be allocated. I gave up and had to go to that smelly place again as I was going to have an important meeting the next day and had to be relaxed. There was also extremely cold in the room and, to my surprise, the central heating was not working (it was 12´c outside) either. There was even no air-conditioning that would help this situation.
